“While accepting my offer to study Veterinary
Medicine at the RVC, I was quite worried that as
a Muslim man of colour I would struggle to fit in!
I was very quickly proven wrong; every single
day I am surrounded by like-minded people who
may not share the same background as me but
share the same passion. RVC’s South Asian
society allows me to celebrate my own heritage
with my peers while the other cultural societies
help me to participate in and celebrate the
cultures of others.”
