Your Modules
At the RVC we have crafted each Biological Science course to ensure students gain a well-rounded understanding of the subject but are also free to specialise more closely in areas of interest at the course progresses through the ‘Pathway Approach’. While studying, you'll have some compulsory modules that will lay the foundations of good scientific understanding and equip you with vital research and lab skills. As you progress in your studies, you'll have more autonomy about what you study through optional modules, which allow you to tailor your degree to your interests and discover new passions. Each Biological Science course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology, meaning the course has passed rigorous assessment to determine that graduates of the course are equipped with subject knowledge, technical ability and transferable skills.

We understand that receiving so much information can feel overwhelming, especially if you are in the middle of your studies. To help simplify the process, we have created an interactive timeline to help you understand the deadlines between now and the beginning of your studies at the RVC.
