“Working with staff members, I ensure that Student Union
services are provided and accessible to all students. It is my
duty to cultivate a community of understanding among the
student body while promoting equitable support services at
        an institutional level.
Throughout the year and with the help of the SU, I organise
and support events that showcase diversity and greater
cultural understanding. Many of these events are sponsored
by numerous clubs and societies on campus, highlighting
the individuality of students at the RVC. These include
the celebration of Black History Month, LGBTQA+ History
Month, International Women’s Day, Chinese New Year, UN
International Day of Peace, and many more. With the RVC
student body being a melting pot of national and international
students, I help maintain a smooth transition into the new
social and academic environment. The foundation of my
role as Equality and Diversity Officer is to ensure the RVC
upholds our commitment to creating a diverse, equitable,
and inclusive institutional culture, where everyone feels
        welcomed and valued.”
