CLINICAL EXTRA-MURAL STUDIES (ClinEMS)*
You will undertake ClinEMS placements in your third, fourth
and fifth years of the BVSc programme, totalling 26 weeks of
placements. To gain a stronger insight into Welsh veterinary
practices, a minimum of 13 weeks of these ClinEMS will be
performed in Wales. Please see page 57 for details.

STUDY

Please note that these are indicative modules and may be subject

Teaching is organised in ‘strands’. These strands are visited
on multiple occasions, initially focusing on the normal animal,
and progressing through diseases of different systems, their
investigation and treatment. There are also non-system strands
that focus on the underpinning science, professionalism and
diseases in groups of animals and their impact on public health.
