“My scholarship has allowed me to
dedicate all my time to my studies.
In my first year of university, I was
working 20 hours a week while
studying, but now my scholarship
allows me to dedicate all my time to the
university, for work and social events.
I now feel very prepared for my future
career, as I have been able to dedicate
that time. If you’re thinking of applying
for a scholarship, go for it! Someone
has to get it, and it can be you. Never
be disheartened by the barriers you’ve
faced in coming to university, because
you’ve made it and now is the chance
to make the most of it! So go for it,
apply and use it to the best of your
advantage; because you deserve it.

I love my course, and all the lectures are
delivered by active researchers so the
information is very current. The facilities
are incredible, I have been fortunate to
work in state-of-the-art laboratories. My
career goal is to study for my PhD before
going into industry to develop new cancer
therapeutics. I have secured an industrial
placement at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK),
where I will be developing new antibodies
for cancer treatment while writing up my
masters in science.

RVC is a specialised college dedicated
to progressing veterinary science for the
benefit of mankind and animals. This is
reflected in the passion of every student
and staff, and I think that is what makes
the RVC different.”
