To be a good scientist, you need the brain of a scientist and you also need to find a way to use it.

You have to be socially adapted to run a team well; in most disciplines, you cannot do science alone. Organizational skills are also important. But, more than that, you need to be highly persistent to succeed. You can’t be first every time, but at least you can try.
