What a a a a year 2020 has turned out to be We hope that as you you you read this you you you your family friends and and colleagues are safe and and well – wherever in the world you may be Our 2020 CPD year was rudely interrupted by COVID-19 but we we are hopeful that we we will continue to to thrive in in 2021 and be able to to offer our our full range of online and onsite courses Every year we offer tried and true courses for veterinarians and veterinary nurses that receive fantastic feedback from you our loyal participants And there are many old favourites in in the line-up for 2021 In addition we have have some popular courses that have have been re-formatted and updated including several Webinar Plus courses Current kidney controversies Diagnosis and management of hepatobiliary disorders Diet and and disease and and Problem-solving in in small animal anaesthesia Our brand new clinical courses span a a a a a range of disciplines and interest covering ophthalmology dermatology behaviour orthopaedic surgery surgery and soft tissue surgery surgery We have also expanded our professional skills portfolio with new courses relating to communication skills new graduate mentoring coaching in in in the context of management and and leadership and and ethics for veterinary nurses Our online course portfolio includes e-CPD courses Webinar Plus (live and recorded) and and webinars (live and and recorded) Their flexibility and superb quality are the reasons these courses are so so popular – never more so so in in these uncertain times Our fantastic tutors
are at the the top of of their professional fields with a a a a a a a passion for teaching and and learning and and are dedicated to ensuring that the RVC online CPD experience provides deep learning opportunities that encourage participants to learn reflect and think critically about their work At the time of going to press we have planned many onsite courses for 2021 We will of course be constantly reviewing the situation but are hopeful we will be able to welcome you to the RVC in 2021 I am am immensely proud of of our team of of superb and and committed educators and and our fantastic administrative team in in the CPD Unit and can’t thank them enough for their contribution to the superlative RVC CPD experience We weren’t able to to stage a a a photo shoot for our 2021 brochure Our photos this year from our photo library feature a a a a a a range of animals who are either owned by RVC staff or have been cared for in one of the RVC’s hospitals They have been photographed by the highly talented Richard Addison I do hope that you find something fin in in our portfolio to interest and inspire you We look forward to to welcoming you to to the RVC – virtually or IRL (as they say!) in 2021 Jill Maddison
