How might translational vaccinology contribute to tackling some of the greatest global health challenges of modern times?
How might translational vaccinology contribute to tackling some of the greatest global health challenges of modern times? Dr Camilla Benfield, a lecturer in virology, recently attended the international Translational Vaccinology Keystone Conference that considered this question and how some of the key barriers to the development and launch of new global health vaccines might be overcome.
Dr Benfield subsequently wrote an article for Veterinary Record where she highlights areas where cross-fertilisation of ideas and techniques between veterinary and human fields could have mutual benefit.
