The Royal Veterinary College was very successful at this year's BSAVA Congress winning the following awards:

Name Awards
Vanessa Woolhead Best abstract presentation at the Small Animal Medicine Society pre-BSAVA satellite meeting; title: “A case of hypoadrenocorticism in a cat”
Gina Parkes Best research project presentation by a veterinary nurse, title “A clinical analysis of complications associated with peripheral intravenous catheter placement in cats and dogs.”
Holger Volk BSAVA’s Bourgelat Award in recognition of “primary international recognition for really outstanding contributions to the field of small animal practice"
Gillian Calvo Petsavers Award for the best clinical research paper in JSAP
Shakira Free-Miles Ceva Award for Animal Welfare

The Royal Veterinary College were also chosen to give several scientific clinical presentations, including several of our undergraduate students, who presented the results of their research projects.
