I am the central focal point for users and potential users of the Research Laboratories at Hawkshead for issues concerning laboratory use, equipment and expertise. I execute duties in close collaboration with the Senior Laboratory Manager, Research Support Office, academic advisers and the College Health and Safety Team.

I coordinate all ordering for Research Laboratories at Hawkshead in collaboration with the Research Support Office and channel the invoices to the Research Support Office and the Finance Department.

I am a central point for advice and assistance for all users and potential users regarding laboratory space, equipment and expertise for the Research Laboratories at Hawkshead and am responsible for the running of the centralised wash-up and sterilisation facility

As Departmental Safety Supervisor for the Research Laboratories at Hawkshead I ensure all safety procedures are upheld in collaboration with Area Safety Supervisors and Academic Advisors which includes overseeing COSSH assessment is carried out in a timely manner and that records are kept for compliance purposes. I conduct the Health and Safety Inductions for any visitors, students and staff who wish to work in Research Laboratories at Hawkshead.
