Dr Rhiannon Strickland
Department: Clinical Science and Services
Campus: Hawkshead
Rhiannon graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2012 and spent two years in mixed first-opinion practice before returning to the RVC to complete a rotating internship at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals. She then remained at the QMHA for her surgical residency (2017–2020) and became an ECVS and RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Surgery in 2021.
In her predominantly clinical role within both the Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic Surgery teams, Rhiannon’s experience across disciplines is particularly valuable in managing trauma and emergency cases.
She is actively involved in teaching veterinary medicine undergraduates, interns, and surgical residents. Additionally, within the hospital, she contributes to the Clinical Governance and Antimicrobial Stewardship Committees and is a member of the newly formed Clinical Ethics Board.
