Louise Welsh
Department: Clinical Science and Services
Campus: Hawkshead
My current role, working as a Senior Emergency and Critical Care RVN, involves working both in a clinical environment (ICU and ER) as well as working alongside the head nurses to support our team.
Since qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2012, I have completed my Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care, shortly followed by my Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. I have published articles for several veterinary journals and have produced webinars for both the BVNA and other veterinary learning platforms. I am a member of the metropolitan BSAVA regional commitee, involved in organising CPD events in the local area. I have chaired at BVNA for several years and am looking forward to speaking for the first time next year. Alongside my current job at the RVC, I work as a tutor for the Vets Now ECC Certificate, marking student assignments and providing guidance to students.
