Emma is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Primary Veterinary Care Education. She teaches on the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, as well as the Postgraduate Certificate & Diploma in Veterinary Education.
Emma graduated from the University of Edinburgh Vet School in 2017, then worked in small animal general practice as a primary-care veterinary surgeon. In 2019, Emma joined the University of Nottingham and completed a teaching internship alongside a Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Education. Following this, she worked at the University of Surrey as a Veterinary Clinical Teaching Fellow, before joining the RVC in 2021. Emma spent two years as an RVC Teaching Fellow in Anatomy before moving into her current role.
Emma holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Education and is an Advance HE Fellow. She is currently completing a Masters in Veterinary Education.
Emma is co-strand leader of the Principles of Veterinary Practice (PVP) strand, which delivers professional skills teaching throughout the BVetMed. She also teaches on the Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Veterinary Education.
Emma participates in a variety of RVC outreach activities including Summer Schools and school visits, as well as external activities through her role as a STEM Ambassador.
